When thinking of the quintessential, classic Colorado wedding venue, there isn't much that comes to mind that the gorgeous Piney River Ranch doesn't have to offer. With a jaw dropping mountain view set ablaze by sunset alpenglow, a luxury cabin reception hall, and a fairly high chance of having a moose make a guest appearance at your wedding, Piney River Ranch perfectly encapsulates the Colorado wedding.

With all this in mind, Piney River Ranch made the perfect setting for Sibley and Jake to say their vows nestled high away in the Rocky Mountains witnessed by their dedicated family and loving friends on a beautiful Sunday in September.

Knowing they didn't want to spend the day apart, the two quickly got ready in their own separate cabins before starting their day off with a first look on a forested hill by the alpine lake. The love between them was so palpable as they shared this intimate moment together to revel in the fact that in a few short hours they would be husband and wife. Once ready to move on, we jumped straight into immediate family photos to help reduce the amount of time spent on them after their ceremony as it was very important to Jake and Sibley to get plenty of extended family photos with all of their loved ones who had made the long trip to be with them on their wedding day.

With immediate family photos completed, it was then time for their ceremony out on the deck behind the reception hall overlooking the lake and gorgeous mountain view Piney River Ranch is famous for. The two had a beautiful catholic ceremony filled with intentional readings and heartfelt blessings from their families. Once pronounced husband and wife, the two made their exit to sign their marriage license inside before returning for those extended family photos.

We kept a careful eye on the sun for their newlywed portraits and once the mountains had that perfect alpenglow we ran out to the side of the lake and then back behind the venue for all the gorgeous sunset photos of the happy couple. The rest of the night was filled with love and celebration as they feasted on a delicious meal, laughed wholeheartedly to their toasts, and danced the night away with LED light sticks and props. Sibley and Jake's wedding at Piney River Ranch was truly a magical day!
