2022 Wedding Venue Bucket List

Is it just me, or do wedding venues keep getting more and more breath taking? Honestly, with all the amazing venues out there, it can be a real challenge to choose which one is "the one."

As a professional wedding photographer, I'm lucky to be able to visit and photograph so many stunning venues that all mean something special to my couples. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day that doesn't include my couples, is when I first pull up to the venue and all I can say is, "Wow!"

With how much I love wedding venues, I decided to compile a list of my top ten wedding venues I would love to photograph in 2022. This "bucket list" of wedding venues are venues I have not yet photographed, but am so excited by that I am offering discounted pricing to the first couple that books me for their wedding at each venue. Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park, Colorado has been the #1 wedding venue I've wanted to photograph a wedding at since 2018. And that's because I had my very own fairytale wedding at Della Terra in April of 2018!

I'm definitely biased when it comes to my love for Della Terra simply because I got married there myself, but it's absolutely undeniable that Della Terra is just an absolutely stunning venue with some of the most amazing staff. No matter the weather or the season, you're guaranteed to have the wedding of your dreams at Della Terra. You simply cannot go wrong.

Della Terra is perfect for couples wanting to say their "I Do's" in Italian bliss, or couples who want their venue to be just as stunning as the Rocky Mountains, all while not having to stress about a single thing.

The St. Vrain is an incredibly chic, industrial venue right in the heart of Longmont, Colorado! Every time I see wedding photos of the St. Vrain I swoon. Can you get dreamier than this? Plus, I literally live 10 minutes away from the St. Vrain and drive past it almost every day.

The St. Vrain is the perfect venue for Colorado couples who love the industrial look, but want to keep things extra romantic. You won't get views of the mountains here, but if you've been dying for the perfect indoor venue look no further!

Bear Brook Valley is the ultimate farmhouse chic wedding venue with everything you could hope for. Gorgeous architecture, beautiful greenery, multiple ceremony sites, tons of room to spread out, and some of the most beautiful getting ready suites out there!

Bear Brook Valley is perfect for the couples who love the idea of a barn wedding, but don't actually want to get married in a barn or don't want to feel pressured to have a western theme. Plus, Bear Brook Valley has an inhouse team of chefs and cooks to bring your dream wedding feast to life!

So you want to get married in a castle? Say no more - I'm already packing my bags!

In all seriousness, though, The Castle at Wadley Farms is simply jaw dropping. From its beyond picturesque exterior to its elegant and cozy interior, everywhere you look is the perfect photo backdrop. The Castle at Wadley Farms is a great choice for couples wanting a Harry Potter or Fantasy themed wedding, or couples who want to live out their dreams of feeling like European royalty.

The full-service, Rocky Mountain wedding venue of your dreams. Devil's Thumb Ranch brings a new meaning to indulgent mountain getaway and is the perfect spot for couples wanting to embrace everything Colorado has to offer with a three-day, exclusive wedding event.

This venue seriously has it all, and is the perfect spot for adventurous couples who still want to feel pampered, or couples who want their guests to be able to really take advantage of experiencing the Colorado Rocky Mountains without even having to leave the venue.

Greencrest Manor Estate is the gorgeous venue of your dreams for couples on the hunt for an elegant and charming slice of European inspired romance. No, in fact, the Van Dusen is right in the city of Minneapolis, making it a great choice for couples who want a castle venue without having to make a long drive, or who want to make things easy for their out of state guests who will be flying in.

If you're looking for a truly unique wedding venue, then Bavaria Downs might be just what you've been searching for! With French farmhouse architecture and lush, sprawling fields of vibrant green grass, you'll be hard pressed to find another venue quite like it.

Bavaria Downs is a great choice for couples who want to escape to the French countryside, but who want to keep it under an hour away from the airport, or couples who love the rustic things in life, but still want their wedding to have a classic elegance.

While I have not yet photographed a wedding here, I have attended a wedding at Lionsgate, and it was truly a beautiful venue. Buena Vista is a highly sought-after wedding destination - and for good reason! The views are incredible, and you feel like you've been transported to a magical, fantasy land. Add on to that how straight up cool The Surf Hotel & Chateau is, and you've got yourself a dream wedding venue.

The Surf Hotel & Chateau boasts a private outdoor courtyard, a uniquely moody ballroom, and endlessly romantic photo backdrops. This is a great venue choice for couples wanting a blend of moodiness and classic elegance, or those who want to feel they've escaped to an eclectic, European mountain retreat.
